The property is located in the square of the medieval settlement of Kato Chora Mylopotamos, 15m. from the entrance of the Castle.
The landscape and geophysical relief of the wider area is unique and – apart from the Castle – includes the also traditional settlement of Mylopotamos (at 1km), the visitable cave of Agia Sophia with its Byzantine temple (inside the cave) at a road distance of 1km, a number of other Byzantine monuments, a visitable valley with rich vegetation, waterfalls and twenty (20) watermills and finally, the – virgin from human interventions – coastline of the western side of the island.
The property has 2 arches (“walk”) on the ground floor with a semi-outdoor area of 25sq.m. (in front of the entrance) and its built-in oven is preserved internally, while the first floor is described in the contract as having an attic and was covered with a hipped tiled roof (i.e. on the 1st floor there is the possibility of additional construction in an attic and a large internal height). The windows of the main facade face the square while on the back of the floor they have a view of the western coast (see also aerial photographs). The entrance to the ground floor is completely independent from that of the first floor, while one part (“volto”) of the ground floor can easily be completely independent from the other.
The surfaces are as follows (ground floor and first floor):
A. Ground floor 55 sq m. with two areas of equal area (2 voltos) with an oven preserved, (with an additional semi-outdoor area of 25 sq m.).
B. Floor (ruined) 55 sq m. with a terrace of 25 sq m. and an additional loft (attic) described in the contract.
